Pandemic and Disaster Preparedness Center communication & events

The Pandemic and Disaster Preparedness Center (PDPC) is dedicated to preparing society for future pandemics and disasters through top-level interdisciplinary scientific research and translating findings into real societal impact.
From September 2022 until October 2023 and from May 2025 until September 2026, the philogirl team carried out a range of communication activities and event organization on behalf of the PDPC.
Our role
Communication & PR
- Daily communication of news on the website and social media channels
- Website content management
- Development of quarterly newsletters: design, text writing, etc
- Visuals and graphic design for communications, reports, presentations and banners
- Public relations
Science communication
- Communication of research outputs in accessible language
- Production of Science Speaks videoseries
- Support with content and layout of reports and policy briefs
Event organization
(including the yearly congress, consortium and educational meetings, webinars, etc.)
- Event concept and programme design
- Venue sourcing and logistics coordination
- Event communication
- Production of event materials
- Hostess coordination and on-site management
- Post-event reporting
