ESCH-R – Communications Partner & Science Day

ESCH-R is a national research consortium working on circular transformation in healthcare — reducing medical waste, rethinking product design, and building a more sustainable system from the ground up. philogirl is involved as a structural communications partner, supporting the consortium across all its communication needs.

Our work for ESCH-R goes well beyond organising events. We manage the website, write and design the newsletter, create social media content, and help translate complex scientific work into clear and accessible communication for a wider audience. We also take care of the full production of the ESCH-R podcast – from planning and recording to editing and distribution.

The ESCH-R Science Day is one of the highlights of the consortium’s year. We have organised this annual meeting twice. The first edition took place at UMC Utrecht, the second edition in 2026 at Utrecht University Hall – both bringing together researchers, PhD candidates, clinical partners and industry representatives for a full day of keynote presentations, in-depth case studies and open exchange. The programme of the 2026 edition covered topics such as circular infusion bags and the material footprint of TAVI procedures, and closed with an interactive ESCH-R Café that created space for connection and new collaborations. The Science Days are organized in close cooperation with the PI of the project, the projectmanager and the PhD’s.
